A Python-based AI that runs **locally**, on your computer. PYTHON IS REQUIRED TO RUN THE AI

Not too long ago, last month (as of making this), Carl Pei made a post on X (or Twitter, IDC what you call it) made a post regarding the company’s experiments with AI, making a brighter (albeit slightly scarier) future for AI, teasing some very interesting AI platform that will hit the Phone (3) next year. What really stood out to me about this is this part of the post:

*For the last two months, we’ve been designing and prototyping AI interactions. Today, I want to show you some initial concepts to give you a better idea of what I’m talking about. Expect this to be improved and gradually introduced, starting with Phone (3) next year. It’s important we get the product right, integrating hardware and AI in a way that is both useful and brings a smile to people’s faces.*

I was inspired by what they had done, and wanted to follow their footsteps to make some very cool projects, like marketing tests and a fan-produced OS, And I figured what’s next for AI should be simple and effortless. (sorry if what I’m saying is very confusing)

I coded up a Python-based AI, called Nothing Void, to help with everyday tasks, like making recipies, or general questions. Right now, this AI is in it’s development stages, and I am planning to release it on GitHub when the time is right

Thats very refreshing to hear. Which platforms are you currently targetting tho?

Is it Android or Windows or Mac?

If you’re using a finetuned open source model like Llama, it’s nothing innovative. But surely it’ll help you learn. But again, you’ll need to do a deep dive into it to actually make something good out of it, or at least something that produces really good results. Nice work tho.

Rob ⚡️ changed the title to Nothing Void (Unofficial Project) .

ArianMondal Currently, I am targeting Windows , macOS, and Linux distros (mostly Debian or Ubuntu-based). As for Android, Python code was not meant to run on Android, but I’ll see what I can do.

My question (even from the days of Google Assistant) remains this…

What can this AI do that is special and exclusive for a smartphone? (Other than the fact that it could only be deployed in a nothing os).

My contribution: Sort out the SMS app by introducing AI for better spam detection, expense tracker, geolocation based spending (track if this is a normal expense or one included in a weekend trip)

Im more than happy to sit with fellow engineers at Nothing and coding this ML model out!

        Make SMS app great again!!
