Stage 4 of The Community Edition Project opened for submissions just a few weeks ago. We challenged you all to come up with the creative platform that would reveal and launch (2a) Community Edition to the world! 🌎
The jury were looking for a submission that could bring all of the great work from our previous stages together; the hardware concept by @Astrid and @Kenta, the winning wallpaper concept by @Andres_123 and our chosen packaging winner from @Ian_H_Simmonds.
Today, we are very pleased to announce that @Palmix Art (aka Sonya) is our Stage 4: Marketing Campaign winner! 🏆
Sonya is a UX/UI Designer from Italy who resides in Spain. She developed and submitted the winning concept: Find your light. Capture your light…
The concept focuses on the idea of finding your own source of inspiration and clarity. The firefly and the illuminated path represent the ability to shine and stand out even in the darkness. The slogan “Find your light” suggests that everyone has an internal spark that can be discovered and used to light up their path, symbolising self- exploration, authenticity, and personal potential. The concept conveys the importance of identifying and following your own passions and purposes, highlighting individuality and the power of self-illumination - Sonya
To arrive at their winning concept, the internal jury, comprised of @Ryan, Senior Director and other members of the Brand team, shortlisted entries based on how closely they aligned with the brief. They also thought about which ideas they could help to effectively bring to life. Community votes were also consulted to find the final candidates and overall winner:
We were in awe of the creativity brought to the table for Stage 4. Thank you to everyone who submitted an entry. However, it was Sonya’s submission that we felt delivered the most thoughtful and thought-provoking campaign idea. Her focus on an “inner light” was reminiscent of our first-ever product campaign, “Pure instinct,” drawing on the idea that we all have a powerful voice within us that deserves to be heard. We particularly liked how she incorporated the fireflies from Stage 1 into her key visual concept, where the creatures symbolise the Nothing Community. We’re thrilled to work with Sonya as we bring together all four stages for the final chapter of the Community Edition Project - Ryan
Just like our previous winners, Sonya will now begin the co-creation process. She will engage directly with copywriters, designers and producers to execute on a compelling launch for a very special product. Sonya’s concept will evolve through deep collaboration with our Brand team, so stay tuned for updates and behind-the-scenes content via our journal series.
Here’s what Sonya had to say in response to being selected as our Stage: 4 winner:
I put my heart and soul into this project, and as a huge fan of Nothing, it’s an honour for me to win this stage and, most importantly, to collaborate with the team! I can only say that I found my light and captured it 🙂 - Sonya
As always, the team would like to give a big thank you to everyone who submitted an entry to this stage, and also to everyone who took the time to show support by voting! We will be sending a prize to a few runners-up as recognition for their great work (so be sure to check your emails in the coming weeks).
So, what’s next?
With all of the submitting and voting stages now complete, it’s time to knuckle down and get (2a) Community Edition ready for launch 🚀 All of our winners will continue co-creating with us in the background, so stay tuned to our Community Edition Journal series for all the latest BTS.
Remember, you’ve only seen the winning concepts so far - so there’s plenty to be revealed in due course… 👀
