A slightly noticeable electric shock in CMF 65w charger

When I plugged the charger and if I touch the type-c cable it’s giving a small shock, like shivers but it’s happening only one plug board , I tried multiple boards nothing happened, but one certain switch board causing this please help me understand this is it charger issue or not 🙏

RohithTony yeah I also could feel that zap all the time I use the 65W GaN charger, It seems to consume small amount of power even when charging device is connected.

Think it is day 1 issue

I have never experienced this issue with my CMF Phone 1, I used to charge using an old OnePlus dash charger and then I got the CMF 33W charger. Never experienced any shock.

Some power outlets may be the reason when their is no proper earthing. Not sure about this.

Bro, this is called induction current

If you touch the type c tip with tester you will be surprised to see light glowing

I had this issue with ip-15 pro Max and the beauty is if you insert type c cable in the ip-15 pro Max as the body is metal the full will have the induction now

What I found out is there will be an induction current on all devices but our body will not have any harm touching it sometime we will get the shock kind of feel

So now I have moved to plastic build 2a plus 🙂

I have an issue with this charger as well. I found there’s a current leakage causing a tingling sensation when touching the USB connector. I tested it with a multimeter and found a 168V RMS value, which is quite high compared to other chargers. Could this be a fake charger?

CMF Charger 65W has “vampire energy” problem which means it will consume little power even if nothing is connected to it and if you touch type c or any pin connected to the charger it may give you a little shock. it is advisable to plug out the charger or switch off the button. I use the charger near my desk, which always gets me with little shock.

I think I have same issue , I use case so not much but when I put my phone on my laptop and its of metal frame, it gives negligible shock. idk whats the reason. I have nothing charger.
