JamalAlizadeh Nothing phone 2 should be able to take 12,5 MP 2x photos. The why Apple using its 48 MP camera to get 12 MP 2x photos and 4k video 2x. Phone 2 has the hardware, it just needs to use the maximum of its hardware with a better software.
adbo JamalAlizadeh I think there has been a conscious decision to not allow zooming in 50mp mode, else you’re not really getting 50mp. People would likely be confused and complain that their 2x photos aren’t 50mp. You can use 2x zoom if you change to the 12mp mode in the camera settings

mader_mfm RobIgo Thanks, I knew that more pixels didn’t mean better pictures. I wanted to know in which setting the phone takes better pictures. So whether it is better to use the 12 or 50 setting.
