So I know it’s not Friday, but I wanted to add my tracks in whilst they were fresh on my mind. A little trip down my music brain of some of the sounds that really got to me:
Noisia, Machine Gun - pretty much a game-changer for me in terms of combining that real electronic/DnB sound and are so original in what they do (they’ve now stopped which is a shame, but definitely pioneers of a really unique sound). This was one of the first songs I heard by them and the build up to the drop is probably quite tasty on the ear (1).
Underworld, Born Slippy - oldie but classic, definitely introduced me into the dance world and when ever I hear this song, it transports me to a special place where I just close my eyes.
Boys Noize, Sperm - another unique individual and it was difficult to find a specific song of his to share, but this one I think is a more modern sound.
London Grammer/High Contrast, Lord It’s a Feeling - I think the lyrics of this original song are beautiful, but when I heard this remix the other day on the radio it really hyped and pumped me up, I could almost feel the emotion to the song that little bit more!
Scooter, Nessaja - I mean Scooter back in the day were iconic for The Logical Song, but I followed them as a youngster ‘jumping all over the world’ and this song in particular reminds me of when I travelled from the UK to Germany to see them live!
