I am a Mi band 5 fitness user and i want to share the experience of the Mi Fitness band and there app which has to called Mi fit early but it change and become Zepp life. The xiaomi wins in software department in smartwatches budget segment Mi wins because of there software functionality and i will share you the all the points i feel lack in this cmf watch in compare to Mi band 5 which was 2020 Launch at just around 20-25$ only so i really want to share the software functionality and some suggestions to software devlopment team.
First Impressions after delivery:
I feel premiumness after unboxing this watch first i did thing was to check the watch faces and all are cool and uniques from other i was so excited to use this everyday.
After 4-5 Days uses:
I am using this watch with Iphone 14 pro max, after using this watch for somedays i notices flaws and lacking feature was present in my 2020 mi fitness band in software department so here is the list for the all of the lacking feature -
- No Widget customisation option in the app:
When i try to customize the shortcut widgets there is no option present to manage and add shortcuts widgets on the swiping pages, i want to add music control in the swiping pages to quickly access music by swiping no need to press button and open music app in the setting. This feature was present in the Mi band 5 with low hardware capabilitis and small screen with cheap price.
Also one big thing in the watch faces of the Mi band 5 has 2 extra widgets which was intractable we can tap to access the particular app and also customise the watch face widgets and change accordingly to users. the example of this i attached here-

- Brightness level scheduling -
This Fitness band tracker comes with the Brightness level set according to time like this band can set brightness level 1 after sunset and after sunrice level 3. so expecting this feature in the software.
- Lift to wake scheduling -
there was a feature in the band app where we can set the time to turn on the lift to wake and turn off this feature was very handy in previous fitness band.
- Third Party watch faces support -
This band supports unlimited watch faces as a community create and published the watch faces so there is lots of option for watch faces expecting more like this in this watch.
My Suggestions-
There is need to add a feature like the budget smartwatch have to check overall data by just clicking once on the button to show Blood oxygen, stress, heartrate etc like this competition -
Conclusion-
There is lots of possiblities for CMF Watch pro to be a killer smartwatch with improvement in software department and i bealive in the software team and beacuase of the name of nothing i buy this watch by refuse to buy another competation with lots of features. So i am wating for future updates and improvement to utlise this watch hardware capabilties and do flex and refer the watch to my friends.
