So after using the update for couple of days now, there are few more bugs i have noticed which are mentioned below :

  1. When using WhatsApp for call, you need to keep the application in foreground else when the app is background the audio stops on the recipient’s end. However, it works in background when the screen is locked.
  2. Sudden jitters in animations.
  3. Brightness levels even when not on auto brightness needs constant adjustment. For example i kept the brightness at 50% always for a year, however since the update i have to keep changing every few hours as it sometimes feels too bright and sometimes less bright.
  4. Alignment is a problem in many areas like lockdown clock, quick settings and sometimes during changing the window some animations are not completed and get stuck causing alignment issue.
  5. I’m not sure is it just me or could be a problem that Chatgpt application does not work properly. Whenever i talk to the Ai after first answer, it is stuck in loading. Gemini live works perfectly fine. I have tried reinstalling, account change, data clear but still chat gpt gets stuck.
  6. Also the app drawer is not sorting the apps correctly.
  7. Nothing wallpaper app does not allow changing the layout grid and icon pack even after clearing data and cache.
  8. Also turning on wifi and bluetooth from quick settings tile takes a sec more than it used to on 2.6

Some good points now :

  1. No major lag or crash in any application so far.
  2. Feels smooth, fast and reliable.
  3. Increased volume output from the speaker is already a plus.
  4. Battery backup is same as 2.6
  5. Calling is fine. No network, wifi and bluetooth connectivity issues.

Hey, any one find this rectangle clock widget

So far so good. Battery life seems amazing, loving the update

As many others have reported, I also have problems with Bluetooth audio. The device is connected, but no sound is played. I’ve tried several devices, always the same problem. This has only happened since the update, before that it worked perfectly.

Battery performance is very good, has noticeably improved and you can now finally get through everyday life comfortably again.

TeetNiin Not region based. Because I live in India and have Indian variant but I have installed 3.0 the day it was rolled out

Chuck I have already addressed the tiktok issue, for now the temporary fix is to clear the app data and it should work (you unfournately need to clean entire app data so you will need to login again, cleaning only cache may not work)

I am using Nothing Phone (2) with Nothing 3.0 beta 1 update.

I have come across the app crashing bug. It’s happening with Myntra and also with One Score. I have tried restarting the phone, Reinstalling the applications but they didn’t work. Could you please fix this? Or if there is any solution for this issue, please let me know.

Thanks.

Prashanth Raju These bugs and app crashes are expected as it’s beta and not stable. Give them time. And you can report if it happens in stable but not in beta as these things are expected

Vishwam Yeah, I understand that. Beta is there to test and I just want to report this as a bug and asking people for a temporary solution to get rid of this. They can take their own time, I haven’t asked them to go for it with one go.

I was able to solve the Bluetooth audio problem with a small workaround:

In the developer options, the “turn off Bluetooth-A2DP-Hardware-Offload-” must be deactivated. Then the audio output via Bluetooth works. However, I hope that this will be fixed in the stable version because I need this function.

Asti Thank you so much ! It works for me too. I don’t have to roll back !

Hello, just bought a Nothing phone 2 a few weeks ago, and wanted to give some feedback for nothing os 3.0

One of the basic features that it was missing was the time remaining for the battery to be fully charged, my phones for the past 5-7 years has had this feature and I think it is a useful one, even iPhone is adding this to their next software update, so maybe nothing can do that also.

Another feature is the limiting the battery charge to 80 or 85%, yes I know there is a feature that blocks charging for overnight, but it is not as useful as having the phone to charge only to 80%. There are times that people charge their phones during the day and it would be nice to have the phone stop charging at 80% to prolong the battery life

        Natalie ✨

I have installed the beta version of os 3.0🥳 and tested the camera low light tuning.

Well the low light mode is improved but still needs some changes, I have taken two photos one with night mode and other with normal mode in same condition just after one another.

The photos were taken on nothing phone 2 (with os 3.0 open beta)

The first image which you will see is little better than the second one, but the first image was taken without night mode.

Then I tried to take with night mode and the results are such

The exposure control is not good, and the overall image doesn’t look good.

I think the Team Nothing need to work on camera part before the stable release.

Although the nothing phone 2 doesn’t not have cinematic video mode, I think they should give it in the update 🎉.

AyushPatil_Vm5iHsEU7j First of all this feedback won’t reach software team. You can give through Feedback option system settings for it to reach software team and secondly you tagged Natalie, she doesn’t work in software team. And also you mentioned about cinematic mode. If hardware is capable to handle and do it they will add it. Otherwise hardware might not be capable

I’m not knowing what’s the issue, I’ve read somewhere saying there’s beta 2 update for nothing phone 2 but yet how many ever times I tried to check for update, it says this
