I’m a student (16 years old) from India, and I’d love to share a recent experience with the community. I’ve been part of this space since 2023, and I’m a long-time Phone (1) user with a real passion for UI and hardware design. I’ve even created my own concept products, sketching over 50 unique ideas in my notebooks. When the Community Edition project was announced, I felt like I finally had a chance to showcase my ideas. I didn’t want to win—I just wanted my work to be noticed. So, I created my own Nothing Community Edition Phone, adding a few design upgrades and specs. Feeling excited, I uploaded my project and waited, but days turned into weeks, and eventually, I realized it had been discarded. When I checked other entries, I felt mine deserved a spot too. In the end, I had to let go of the hope that my idea would be featured.
I’d still love to share my concept with you all—it’s actually the last concept I worked on! Although I wish I knew why it got rejected, I’m hopeful that someday someone will take notice.
(Here’s an image of my concept)

I saw the winning design, and while it didn’t have many hardware changes, the greenish texture they used was unique and refreshing. I’m just as excited as everyone else for the phone’s release, but I still wonder if my idea might’ve had a chance, too.
But anyway, I’ll keep designing, whether it’s seen or not, always hoping for a bit of the spotlight. ✌😊
