In our most recent community update, we shared details about co-created community widgets.
We have been beyond impressed by the software concepts shared and felt it was time to explore new workflows to help us make some of these ideas a reality.
Back in January, a selection of widget concepts captured our attention over on X. Including @Rahul’s, who shared 10 concepts across 10 days. A mix of productivity, system monitoring tools and games:
We showed our Software Team, who were on board to support Rahul with bringing one of his ideas to life. Selecting which of his concepts to work on was a challenge; it had to be both technically feasible and, of course, a little bit of fun.
They eventually agreed to take on the snake game. Perfectly nostalgic and fitting of Nothing’s goal to bring back a more optimistic era of tech.
Rather than making the widget for Rahul, we instead reached out to @RapidZapper, a veteran community developer responsible for Ear (web) and the Simone Glyph Game. He took on the task of creating a seamless gameplay experience, directly from the home screen.
Pairing the duo with our internal team meant that things moved very quickly. Now, after several prototypes, it’s finally time for us to share the widget with you all!

Our ambition is to curate a selection of quality community created widgets and bundle them together into an app hosted on the PlayStore. Keep those concepts coming - it could be your idea next!
A huge thank you to Rahul and Thomas! 🤩 Feel free to share feedback (and your high scores) with the creators below. ⬇️
