The deceased could have used a faulty charger, or a charger with a higher voltage capacity. It may even be due to prolonged overcharging. You go to sleep and forget to unplugged your charger. Seem like it’s an isolated incident. If it’s wide spread like the Samsung Note 7 fiasco, there would be more reports.
