Nothing OS - Desktop Mode

I would love functionality with the Nothing Phone 2 that’s similar to Samsung’s dex. I love being able to connect to a nexdock with all of my phone apps and passwords and tabs ready as soon as I plug into a desktop mode. It wouldn’t need to be wireless but via USB type C

JacobWhitt Dont think this will be done since the Nothing Phone doesnt support Display over USB-C it uses a older type that doesnt allow it.

That would be awesome, it’s such an important feature for me and it’s sad that I’m “forced” to buy a samsung phone, cuz I just love nothing’s design signature

Praying that they add that soon, at least wireless mode (taking into account the hardware limitations)

A much needed feature. This is the top most feature, I am missing after shifting to nothing from Samsung.

Given that nothing invest a lot into a team to build a custom OS skin, same as Samsung does with oneUI, this should be within nothings capability. It would go a long way to entice the Samsung crowd. Many flagships including Google are missing this feature

I exchanged a Samsung for a Nothing phone, but I was a little discouraged when I learned that there is no dex mode on the Nothing system.

Will it be possible to implement this system similar to Samsung’s??

That would be great actually. I’m looking at XR glasses and the Dex mode on my Nothing Phone while using the Xreal glasses would be stellar!

Gab1er Hardware-wise, it’s not possible to push video out using USB 2.0 speeds! But I believe even if the Nothing OS doesn’t have “dex”, implementing USB 3.0 and above, in their next phones would at least ensure users could get the software later on with an update

PedroLopes_VgSfMDkMQw Wouldn’t a wireless mode with a Chromecast be possible? That would be a temporary solution.
