I’m a “no” - here is why:
As investors our job is to maximize what is best for the company. 30 days before the general “retail” release, what was produced/is packaged should go to as many journalists and influencers as possible. Delight random pre-orders with gifts. Do fun pop ups. Whatever. Each Ear1 used for marketing becomes part of CAC and should be optimized.
There are some investors who have a sizable social following, would make sense to capitalize on their personal motivation + platform.
My expectation as an investor is to buy it online with everyone, write up about it, and buy as a bunch for friends and family for holidays/birthdays etc. Getting cool toys ahead of release is nice … but unless you as a person are a substantial marketing channel - it is best for management to prioritize those first.
