palatinagavamsi It would be more secure if the nothing phones ask for password before turning the POWER OFF. It would prevent the phones from turning off after theft. It will also provide time for the owner to track the phone, which will not be possible if the mobile is switched off. I think NOTHING brand should start working on their device security if they want to compete with APPLE in the long run.
AffableLEOGaming palatinagavamsi You can simply switch to OnePlus or Realme devices. They have this option and also you can hide your power button with custom key combinations. Don’t expect anything from these Nothing idiots. They are still fixing the camera since past 3 years.
Remi F Yes I second this. At least in the lockscreen, we shouldn’t be able to switch off the phone while it’s lock…
SahilGurnani Hello everyone, I am a phone 2 user on os 2.0.4 and i have a problem regarding our os. We can turn off/restart our phone without unlocking it. We can also togle on/off wifi and mobile data. Please look into this, as this is a major security issue.
GirishKustagi In other Android phones there is an option to enable password while shutting down the phone but in nothing I did not find it so please let me know if there is an option to enable password for shutting down the nothing phone
palatinagavamsi Unlock to Power off feature has been missing in nothing which is present in other Android phones. It’s a very big security feature that prevent others to switch off the mobile in case of theft. I had also raised this issue earlier but response from the team.

Well, Apple does design this topic in favour of it’s customers -enabling tracking of iPhones even if turned off. If I decide to switch off a device, I expect this to be directly executed. Mandatorily prompting for a password would just do once: interfere with my workflow.
PonnadaGopinadhsai Yes, also we need turn off access to quick settings when device is locked, in that way they cannot turn off mobile data or turn on flight mode.
oriolgarcia Hello, I have been looking for information. Since on other phones there is an option that allows you to prevent the phone from being turned off when the phone is locked. I want to know if there is an option that allows me to do that. Gracias.
DineshKumar_GTodTkSuV7 Hi all, Want to know whether nothing phone 2a has the feature of password protection during switch off. If not when it will be available? Pls share
