No alarm notification

Hi,

I just started using my new nothing phone 2. It’s currently running on 2.0.4 nothing os version. Today the phone failed to ring an alarm that I had set. Later when I opened the clock app, a notification popped as ‘Alarm missed’. This happened only once. Most of the time it works fine.

Is it like the app was not running in the background or something when the issue happened. Is there some setting that needs to be done to get the alarm to work reliably.

Weird.

Never ever experienced this in my 6.5 years of Oneplus 5.

All I can say is that the N team has a lot of work to do.

What I do is set parallel alarms on the phone & on my smartwatch!

I have a Nothing Phone 2 running 2.5.1A and have had a couple of occurrences of this, fortunately both times I’ve managed to make it into work on time but does give you a scare. Similar to you I noticed ‘Pause app activity’ was on so have changed that, here’s hoping that sorts it.

I can’t say I’ve seen any occurrences of this happening or ran into the issue myself.

You could try restarting the device or clearing the clock app cache. Try a few test alarms to confirm that it is indeed not working the way it’s intended.

If the problem persists be sure to provide feedback via the OS Feedback Form or head to Settings > System > Feedback.

You could also try checking the permissions for the clock app via Settings > Apps > Clock just to make sure it has all the relevant access.

Thanks for the suggestion. In app permissions page for clock app, I see that “Pause app activity if unused” is enabled.

Should that be disabled perhaps?

Additionally permissions to calendar and music&audio is also disabled. But I don’t think that would cause any issues.

Following. Just got my Phone (2) two days ago and I’ve noticed that the alarms that I’ve set are not going off.
