@Louis ☕️, I want to express my disappointment regarding the implementation of Indian SIM authentication for the Indian variant device, and it’s clear that I’m not the only one who feels this way. Unlike other well-known brands such as Oneplus and Samsung, this additional step becomes an inconvenience for consumers traveling abroad with an Indian variant. It forces them to carry an extra SIM for the initial setup, especially in situations involving data corruption or the need for a factory reset. Furthermore, the support for remote unlocking through IMEI checks is not consistently prompt. I hope that upcoming OTA updates will remove this authentication requirement. While I understand the rationale behind this implementation, the question arises: does it truly outweigh the extra hassle imposed on consumers? Ultimately, it’s up to the team to consider and weigh this feedback.
