Hi Team,

I hope you read this message.

I play BGMI(PUBG Mobile India version). There are two problems, which I face regularly. I have mentioned them below.

1) gaming app closes as soon as I switch to different app. this kill the app in background.

2) horrible frame rates while playing game. fps dips as low as 20 at intense situation. I have tried at low brightness, not much improvement

tempemail Dude, Not only games, other apps also has this same issue 😔, Nothing should be focusing in RAM Management 😕. Hope fix it 🤞, if anyone can forward this message to the Nothing team, please share this with them

I been playing codm although this is not a gaming phone but I use to get 90fps for some time but I don’t know what happened to my phone the game is lagging more I hope they optimize this phone for gaming too

Ram management will need some improvement of course.
Don’t forget tho that the Nothing Phones are not gaming phones 😉

I play efootball on a regular basis . Comparing to other high end games efootball is not that big of a deal for a phone like nothing to manage but still while playing I’m facing lag issues.Optimisation is not available for efootball on nothing.I have never had a problem like this with my previous phones which had less showy processors.

I have taken this issue to Nothing service centre they have told me it might be because of the beta software and then they stripped off the beta version and downgraded to the factory version.Then I had to wait like 2 weeks for the official 2.5.1 to be rolled out ,the reason I am saying this is during that 2 weeks surprisingly enough the game was smooth as butter.But then I updated the device once the official update was given and then again it goes back as it were .

128MridhulMurali I played COD Mobile and surprisingly it is performing great. No overheating or frame drop issues. But with Efootball 2024 the issue is the same. Overheats quickly to 40 c and then starts dropping frames. I also visited service centre back in April for some screen issue and then rolled it back to 2.5.3 and gaming performance on Efootball 2024 returned back to normal and great again. Once again I updated to 2.5.5 and now 2.5.6 and the gaming perfect on Efootball 2024 dropped. What is your update on this game?

MadOne have you had any difficulties faced with games other than efootball.I thought it was maybe because efootball is poorly optimised,but today when I was on COD I faced the same issue.

I don’t play any demanding games, but for eg. BoardKings sometimes is choppy compared to my OnePlus 8T. I mean the refresh rate is very fluent, but sometimes it get some hickup, and it’s noticable.

The funny thing is that when I run this game in a “popup mode” there are no warps and it’s very smooth.

Gaming experience is pretty average for a phone with 8 series flagship chip, need 90 fps enablement for better gaming experience, they simply put the blame on game developers🤦

@Remi F Don’t forget that it has powerful stable 8 + gen 1 processor which is capable producing high performance in gaming and heavy usage tasks. So there is no debate wheather its a gaming or non gaming phone. Its just a basic functionality where every other brands is better than nothing, So nothing teams needs to constantly work on this .

The other brand mobiles with 7 series chipset are the Best in optimization for gaming

But this ***nothing company making the gaming performance even more worst
