This is a usual behaviour with Beta Software. The licensing etc isn’t in place with an unreleased software, so secure things like Google Pay/Google Wallet won’t work.
When the stable release comes to your Phone (1), everything should work as normal.
Furthermore, the Beta should have been closed off with the full release of Nothing OS 2.5.2, so the fact you have recently installed it, may be contributing to your issues.
