Spotify low res album covers

has anyone else started having this bug(?) with spotify where the album cover on the media player in the notification drawer is very low res and also the home screen media widget either displays the same low res image or completely doesn’t recognize media playing on spotify?

rustypanda I think it’s related to the Spotify app itself as my friend experienced this exact behaviour on her Galaxy phone.

so spotify’s gotta fix it right? has it been acknowledged by spotify at least or should i raise a ticket there instead?

so i tried reinstalling the app and the media player in the notif drawer seems to be fixed but the media widget still displays low res pictures. does anyone know how to fix it?
