Phone (1) magsafe "competitor"

When I was using an iPhone not to long ago I saw magsafe as a gimmick but as more and more things came out that utilized it I saw the possibilities. Mounts, camera accessories, wallets, and one category I like.. batteries

My day to day magsafe accessory was the magsafe battery. I love to see something in that category from Nothing.

I know there’s rumors about a battery pack and I’d still buy that but sometimes it’s nice to slap it on the back and essentially only carry one thing vs carry phone and battery pack with a cord

Court Nice, loving the aesthetic of this example. I too would like to see some sort of ‘connected’ battery pack, carrying multiple devices with an additional cable is a bit irritating sometimes.

Court I liked the idea of mods which i think Motorola came up with. The implementation was bad but i think that idea can be explored by someone to create a ecosystem of devices.

I’ve never had experience with magsafe or seen anyone use it in person but from what I’ve seen it does seem really useful. I agree, your example of being able to just stick a power bank to the back is really enticing.

I wonder how magsafe is patented and whether other companies are allowed to design something similar
