I bought Amazon basic 45W PD 3.0 ( Power Delivery) as mentioned in specs , still no change in charging time, took 2.30 hrs + from 6% to 100%). Really big issue, and still no answer from Nothing team here. Very Frustating. Battery Health toggle is off ( no overnight charging which may make it slow). Tried all opy, no change at all.😞

Hey There,

The 65W Gan Charger from CMF has three ports,

I think the third port gives the maximum output of 65W, did you try charging in that port?

My phone 2a charges within an hour and I have been using the third port.

Hope this helps.

FYI : I’ve been using the cable which came in the box.

Updated to 2.5.4 today morning

From the day i bought the phone it takes me 2hours straight for a full charge

Using cmf 65W charger brick with type C to type C cable provided along with the phone.

2 hours for a 45W supporting device is what iam concerned about too.

Hope they solve this issue soon.

arpan2308 yes bro I’m using the bottom type c post of Gan Changer with the nothing type c cable…I thought I’m alone having this issue but there are lot with me. This gives a sense of relief and nothing will help us out and then we will have nothing to say except everything is best in nothing (phones)

There is some issue with the phone 2a it seems as I got the cmf charger 65 watts replaced and got a new one still the issue persists. Got a nothing original charger as well, still takes almost 3 hours to charge. I now believe that there is nothing wrong with the chargers as 4 original nothing chargers cannot be faulty plus I am using the cable supplied in the box. It has got something to do with the phone 2a.

I thought of returning my cmf 65 watt GAN charger but now watching all your reviews and concers that are also present with nothing 65 watt charger.

We 2a guys desperately need an update asap.

Coz fast charging is a blessing and we have paid for it.

Hoping for best response from team nothing

ShubhamSharma100 No matter which charger you try it is the same story. I tried the UGreen 45 watt and a spigen charger as well and it still took almost 3 hours to fully charge the phone 2a. Since the day I have got this 📱 me I have tried cmf for nothing 65 watt charger, the nothing 45 watt charger, UGreen 45 watt charger and a spigen 45 watt charger with the cable supplied in the box and the story remains the same. There is some issue with the phone 2a which needs to be fixed. I hope nothing moderators will take this feedback and fix it at the earliest.

SushantSinha Let’s narrow it down.

Cable : Test your 45W PD charger with a 5A, 100W rated type-C cable. It has to have an E-mark chip (PD protocol compliance).
Samsung 25W PD charger : Lots of people have had success using the 25W PD charger. Try once if you have access to it. The charging speed must be very close to what is reported ideally for a 45W PD charger with 2a.
Ambient temperature : I read somewhere up this thread that the charger works best in 26C room temperature. Let’s put that to test as well. Take your phone and charger to an air-conditioned location and compare charging speed.
Do not use Xiaomi, Realme chargers as those follow some other protocols and will settle at lowest power rating transfer speeds.

SushantSinha Apparantly for fast charging to work you need the screen turned off. This maybe a safety feature to prolong battery health. This same battery health feature works in OnePlus smartphone too.

The charging speed using the nothing 45w charger and the cable from the box , still says 2 hours or more. Despite the claim being 0 to full in slightly more than an hour. Will this get resolved with just software updates ?
