I want to highlight another issue with Android Auto, I was using Nothing Phone (1), excellent phone and very stable build, hardly any issues. I was excited with the Phone (2a), so I exchanged it with Phone (1), and the experience is kind of not pleasant, especially related to bluetooth connectivity issues.
The issue is easily replicable every time. Call controls UI doesn’t appear on the car screen after 1st call. I repeat I am only talking about the car screen and not the phone. I know phone app gets hidden on phone during the active session of Android Auto, but the car shows call app controls like mute/unmute, end call button, audio output to change to phone/speaker/bluetooth. I have tried connecting multiple cars with their android auto setup and the problem is persistent with Phone (2a), after 1st call event subsequent calls UI are not shown on the car screen. no matter what. The frustration to not able to answer or end the call during your drive when the call is not connecting or busy or someone is calling you, we can hear the ringtone over the car speakers but you can’t answer, because during drive the Call UI is hidden on phone as well as on car screen. I end up disconnecting the Android Auto during my drive, what’s the point of using a smartphone when you cannot use it.
I hope this gets considered and addressed.
Thanks
