Unboxing the new Nothing phone is an exciting moment, and setting it up with Nothing OS is part of the fun. I thought I’d share my routine for getting started:
- First things first, I download the Nothing Icon Pack. It’s a great way to cover any unthemed icons and give the interface a uniform look - download link.
- Next, I check the battery settings. Ensuring all optimisation settings are active helps keep the battery life in check.
- Under Settings -> Display -> Status Bar, I turn on the network indicator. It’s a small but useful detail to keep an eye on my connectivity.
- I’m a fan of glyphs so I turn them all on. To set up essential notifications, I go to Settings -> Glyphs -> Notifications and add your most important conversations.
- Lastly, I personalise both the lock and home screens with widgets that I find useful.
