single touch is to wake up the screen. double is to lock. works well for most users.

Jay It will just show the AOD for a specific time period say, 3-5 seconds, enough to glance, notifications if any/Time.
And even if it gets triggered by a mistouch - I wouldn’t be bothered.

DawidDyga well, thats a lot of process goes behind. plus that has to be running behind the system will drain battery and all. but good idea. you can still do it with 3rd party app called macrodroid. till nothing gives this in future updates.

Jay DawidDyga Should be easy to do, Pixels already do this via “Rules” in settings. I use it to put my Pixel 6A (work mobile) on silent when I am connected to my work wi-fi so I don’t annoy other people in the office.

Add Schedule restart on and off option that help to restart device every week
Adjust the size of icon of the status bar you can minimise the network signal space two signal at one space for sim one the signal is above and sim 2 signal is below. This will help to show all icon notification in status bar.
You can add arrow up and down 4g or 5g that blink every time when we connected to internet this help to know whether we are connected to internet or not.
Improve the heptic feedback in cmf phone
Add auto adaptive refresh rate option that help to auto adjust 60 hz to 120 hz based on condition that help to save more battery life of smartphone

Jay They can disable it if they want to 🫠,
And those who want it can enable it.
I used to have a Samsung device,
Single - Tap to wake AOD, and Double Tap to wake up the screen was really helpful.
i and most of us don’t use AOD on Nothing Phone (1) because of the battery drain,
Tap to show AOD can be very useful.
