There is something I notice is that it doesn’t click clear image It is bit of blur in image

ultra wide camera clicking blurry images. I am so disappointed. Even though I have connected to nothing support but nothing solution got.

I noticed that front camera can’t be used as a mirror to check your face or anything closely as the photo turns out to be blurred.

I would love to know from u all whether this is only in my phone or everyone else phone can’t take close photo from front camera in NP2a ?????

Did they realise how pathetic the camera is?.. i couldn’t expect means infinix’s entry level phone’s camera are much better than this. And nothing still has attitude to tell themselves the top notch mobile brand.

Rajdeep13 Yes, I agree. A 10,000 Rs mobile camera performs better than the Nothing 2a camera. Just like its name, there’s really “nothing” good to say about this phone—it’s laggy and disappointing.

BenBradley Though I admit that the camera is not pathetic but it`s not good either. If you check the previous posts you will find pictures with excessive lens flare and pretty bad light source processing. Also ,after face detection in primary lens , I do not know why but the exposure and white balances increases so much that our faces appear whitish. The camera is inconsistent where two photos clicked simultaneously have different outputs. One has greater detail than the other. So, you cannot blame these things on the photographer. Clicking in HDR mode is not the solution as the large file sizes slowly eats up space unnecessarily though its better and consistent than normal mode.

Also, this is the case for both NP1 and NP2. So Nothing needs to improve their image processing especially light source processing.

BenBradley did you see the post processing time. I will count you major 5 issues that makes this camera useless.

Coming from S23 (battery draning after a couple of updates, fingerprint scanner issues, cell phone range issues) i can honestly say that the 2a camera is not far off. Sure Samsungs have the tendency to make colors pop more which i don’t like but the over all quality is pretty much on par for me at least and much simpler to use.
Yest the 2-3 sec processing time requires some patience and for me the red colour sometimes is way too stron on pictures but I have nothing to complain 🙂

The front camera captures reddish toned selfie. Unless you go to the sunlight or well lit room it can’t take good selfies with bright tone. Please fix it.

It’s no secret that the Nothing Phone 2a native camera has problems processing photos that include people.

I have been searching for weeks for a version of GCam that meets what users expect from the native camera, and that we know the Nothing team will deliver to us in future updates.

I have found that version of GCam that works correctly and offers clear, well-colored, high-quality people photo results. You can try it for yourselves.

I’m not using any additional configuration files, the default configurations work great.

I hope this helps more than one of you and can help you make better use of this fantastic device, I am very happy with the OS experience and its performance.

Here i uploaded some Camera Samples taken with Phone (2a). All photos are clicked in normal mode in all (1x, 2x, 0.6x) focal length.

In 1x & 2x there is no difference in Color Reproduction of images, but in wide angle (0.6x) there is lot of Color Shift seems, then 1x & 2x.

No Doubt, the photos with Phone (2a) are awesome in the segment, but in wide angle the image processing is not good & also the image clicked with Wide Angle look out of focus & blurry.
