Apps that require camera will be launched upside-down by default. This can be managed by user’s choice if they want a certain application to be launched traditionally. Also worth pointing out, the way the sensors are arranged also matches the NOTHING’s aesthetics. With the new place of the camera and sensors, the type-C port will find its new place.

Tho, I remember phones that did something’s similar didn’t pursue in that way. I’m thinking about the first xiaomi borderless as hell except the chin at the bottom where the camera was.

[deleted] Nice idea in general. Not sure about this in this very early stage of concept. I mean, 1) The sketches lack of buttons (or an explanation about where they are (supposed to be)). 2) You wouldn’t happen to have spend a thought about why every phone has the camera cutout on the top instead the bottom? 3) A “button bar” is the standard on iPhones starting with their Face-ID area. Thus this appears not exactly thrilling. 4) You mention “USB-C” rearrangement while not showing it. Perhaps you can somehow toughen up your idea in a meaningful way?

[deleted] Remi F I doubt the “never really used” for the screens bottom. Isn’t it nearly constantly touched for swiping to get out of apps or to the home screen? There are app icons placed as well. In my perception there is no saving of display space, as @NielleZan ´s concept “just” switches blocked space from the top to the bottom.
