Yash Indeed, there are multiple cases of “ingested” AirPods.
Not only that, but another collateral effect of the AirPods is visible on the New York subway system. So much so that in 2019, the MTA was “considering issuing a PSA to ask commuters not to take their AirPods on or off while entering or exiting trains”.
According to The New York Times in 2020, “over 7,000 electronics items were found throughout the subway system last year. Earbuds are the most common thing lost”.
Louis ☕️ I remember that. Apple marketing teams had a stroke of genius plastering those billboards everywhere. A case study that I am sure Nothing is aware of.
If the ear (1) are a success - or if their design is revered - perhaps other companies will follow suit. They did exactly that with the white earphones, to the point where people started using them with non-iPod players.
Status symbols are very much alive. 😅
