Small display on back of device

I love the glyphs on all the nothing phones. And nothing added a software feature enabling one of the glyphs to stay on when a message you labeled as important comes in……..but it’s not specific enough you can label your emails as important but obviously not all emails are important

MY SOLUTION…..

Nothing could add a small display like this(a better one) on the back to tell you what the message is about.

If you have a message the glyphs will flash, but if the message is IMPORTANT, the mini display on the back will turn on and remain on(until you’ve picked up your phone to view the message) showing you what type of message it is and who it’s from too

Tanitoluwa Yeah, Matvei ( @MatveiKovyrushin ) took a shot on a little second display as well, see .
I’m ambivalent about it. I favour to have either a living (face up) or a dead (face down) side.

Could be done but i think it would be impractical because now you gotta worry about your phone not being dropped in both ways.

And i also think that would conflict with the glyphs as it would be something of a distraction.

Arykso we’re always going to worry about the phone falling both ways(phones these days have glass backs and flips have screens on their backs too)

Also the glyphs will be turned off when that display is on

But you raise a valid point tho

well, i also forgot to add to the falling part. Because repairability will take a massive nose dive whenever there’s a back display also decresing the selling point / uniqueness to a nothing phone.

Hey there, wanted to share an idea of mine. Why not use led displayed shaped like the nothing Glyph lights for the next devices. For example the curved Glyph light indicating the times sequence, if an led small screen is used you can use different coloured light and also have the app logos from which notifications came. And also of course you can use it as a more detailed version of the glitch lights. Just one of my ideas.

Good idea to make a little screen on the back, with notifications like in the smartwatches maybe with AOD.
