Case or not on 2a

Hi was just wandering is anyone using a case on the 2a I prefer not to but I am worried the sides will go a different colour or will it be ok ? I have got a screen protector and camera protector but prefer to use it without the case inside the house what are peoples thoughts?

Charl_e_alex I am currently using without a case but have ordered one through Amazon,I love the feel and look without however you know at some point it’s going to drop on the floor,

I did try ordering from nothing directly however they said it couldn’t be delivered my address is a little strange no house number only name and in the mountains of Spain but Amazon can so come on nothing I’d rather spend directly with you

Charl_e_alex I have bought phone 2 I used case for 3,4 Days it’s feels bulky and doesn’t feel premium. Also the money we paid is for its design and all small details if that’s not visible what’s meaning behind spending money? Also when u don’t use cover you are generally more careful with handling your phone because you know if it falls it will damage few hundred dollars gadget but with case people are generally careless as what they touch and feel is cheap silicon or rubber. Using case can heat your device while charging or heavy tasking. So it depends on you what you want. Personally I don’t use cover. And the body you are trying to protect will always be hidden behind ur case (phone sides) if you choose to use it. So enjoy it naked for few months then u can use cover

I’ve put on Nothing’s official transparent case which was sold as a bundle offer from Flipkart. It’s pretty thick and nice build one but makes the phone quite bulky to hold for sure. Although I’ll not complaint about it being bulky as it’s focus is to make the phone safe from any accidental drop and damages. All phones I had in the past I’ve used them with sturdy cases and atleast non of those phones I’ve to deal with permanent damages from occasional drops. So it’s a pretty good idea to put on a case to keep the phone safe, bcz you know accidents do happen 🙂 and also I’m not so sure about Nothing’s service speed in servicing damaged phones so it’s a safe bet.

SKD yea true just a shame ain’t it really as it feels better without a case but yes I do need to pop the case back on as don’t want it to damage

SKD even I have the official case. But the official case doesnot have a hole in the back for the secondary mic , just for flash and camera . I have seen many cases online which have this hole but not official ones. nonethless case is thick but side buttons have good travel and feels solid , so solid that its actually very difficult to take phone out once put 🤣

I generally go naked with phones but this phone unfortunately has a very vulnerable back. I got a scratch on the very first day itself from a 3 ft fall. Get a case.

SKD Well, it´s well known what can happen if tech gets dropped. If one decides to rock a phone “naked”, he/she imho deliberately takes the risk of damage.

it is usually recommended to use it with case as accidents happen but if u think u are careful enough or want to experience its premium feeling then u can use it without case.

Consider that the back of this phone gets hair scratches quite easily without being dropped or hit anyway

If you want to run it without a case but are worried about scratches, you could look into getting a protective film cover for the back. Basically invisible so you can still appreciate the design too.

Derren I was looking but I couldn’t find somewhere in the UK as I usually do have a film on my other phones in the past unless I am not looking hard enough

ghumnewala 2a doesn’t have a mic on the back, hence the lack of cutout. To my knowledge it’s a vent hole.

ghumnewala it doesn’t have microphone on the back. They have put it to make it look better ‘aesthetically’ or they decided to implement one on the back at first and after the back panel got manufactured (with a hole) they changed their mind… 🤔 obviously they cannot throw away the manufactured back panel so they used the panel but in more aesthetic way.

Charl_e_alex There’s a few options on ebay, haven’t heard of the brands myself but worth a shot. Not too expensive.

I prefer to use case, I just use about a month, there is small scratcher at the back and small dot at camera even I put the phone carefully 🥲. Then now I used the official Nothing Phone 2a case.
