I have been using this feature in MIUI on my other Old Redmi devices, and I’m sure this feature is available on other OS as well. Please try to add this feature in NOTHING OS. Stringfellow_hawke S.Biswas I doubt that is going to happen, OPPO, OnePlus, Xiaomi and the other OEM’s that had this are forced by Google to remove it. It violated their services for background streaming as it is a paid feature that was being offered for free.
[deleted] S.Biswas The others are right. Background playback is a YouTube premium feature only. If there are deviances with specific smartphone brands, then because they (try to) bypass Youtube premium. Hence this is unfortunately nothing NOTHING could provide/supply.
evozero S.Biswas i use browser to access YouTube, just tested, this works on browser. Simple workaround, no need special app or tweak
Ealesy101 If I am not mistaken, this is a Youtube Premium feature? - I think there is a way you can do this via YouTube on an internet browser, as opposed to the app?

addaedans It is a hack that chinese brands used. Officially you can only play in the background wit YT Premium. I don’t think it is a big price if you use it a lot, especially as you can share it with 4 other family members.
ErikSinoimeri Chinese manufacture’s remove this features ,on global version, as i know And if you want un alternative you only can use ReVanced for now
