Nothing phone 2a has a mediaTek chipset instead of the great snapdragon, so updates will off course be different.
Updates will be coming on the time being and the nothing OS is a solid Operative System by now!
Are you complainig about quick toggles?? What the hell? So lazy for that?
The camera is not that great, no, it has ungodly unmatched colors. But since we are fortunate to have a snapdragon gen8+. Look at a gcam with the correct config.
I wonāt link it, i dont think most of you deserve it, just google it! Canāt expect miracles from any manufacturer comparing to the very advanced google camera that you canāt make it even work on an exynos. Or wait for the camera update anyways, I donāt care.
You fall for marketing advertisement , and how many cameras per phone, leica partnerships just to have a lackluster camera software experience.
I found samsungs flagships even worse. And if you want bloatware with facebook, netflix and non sense pre-installed that Iāll never use and no way to uninstall, but only deactivate, alongside bloatware / spyware hidden on your phone and marketing practices to push services that you dont even need. Just buy a samsung or oneplus/ oppo / Xiaomi for your lazy conveniences.
I find my device bug free, apart from the audio volume being reduced since the first time Iāve bought it, i believe it was even caused by some android app affecting most phones in the house. Think it is fixed by now, but you get what you are buying!
This is nonsense, you guys prefer monthly updates instead of great stability and worthless features for lazy people. If that is your focus go to another brand and buy a fold 4, that the camera was horrible and broke within an year for a 1400ā¬ INTERNALLY despite all screens being IMMACULATE, and full of bugs with android 14 rushed update that made me loose my head.
Why do you need fast updates anyways?? You device has serious security flaws? Donāt think so.
Not to speak of my old s21 ultra in my dad hands that the main camera focus broke!
I aināt touching another brand in the recent future and if you keep complaining: NOTHING PHONE and NOTHING OS is just not for you and you are intoxicating the community.
I donāt know what the heck you are talking about battery and overheating issues, assuming we have the same model, this battery at 100% that lasts me 3x more than any samsung Iāve touched, any other smartphone for that matter, even tough i always avoid 100% charges. For a change i dont need to charge a phone 3 times a day with decent heavy use.
Donāt complain to me that your worthless instagram stories are overheating the device. Complain about the devs not optimizing it for the chipset and uninstall the bloatware you have forgotten long , long time ago consuming resources, heating and wasting energy. Hell, even install droidify and look for better open source alternatives for your crampy apps without dozens of trackers.
Disable the AOD. Why do you even need it with the glyph interface?? That wasting your battery? No wander. Make use of the unique nothing phone features that are actually relevant, or learn how to configure it properly for each notification you want without picking the phone every time it buzzes, and not a quick toggle to record a video ou whatever.
Iāve also noticed that NOTHING has been improving the user experience by play store pushed updates over the time.
They toke their sweet time to make the best of optimization of the latest year flagship, so it is mostly bug free, instead of a minor gen3 whatever that will seriously overheat your phone without proper care and resources and not correctly optimized, with worthless AI ready features built-in into the chip not even available or soon going to google graveyard.
I donāt find a single scenario which gen 3 is profitable, only marketing strategies to give cramps to your phone, once you wait for the phone company to update its performance overtime, alongside hundreds of lowbudget smartphones on their name. Why do you think iphones lineup is consistent with mostly one phone an year, but with the same overly priced varients?
It is reliable, snappy and do everything i want, including hungry resource gaming that i havenāt touched much lately.
Just inform yourself and verify that your cheap charger is not damaging you battery.
Canāt infatize how much i love the launcher, very organized and not colorful to distract you with worthless media consumption, even tough you can change that or generate by ai your wallpaper with i love it! But prefer anyways the stock wallpapers for minimal distraction, without loss of information.
Do you even use all google services? Google lens to tell you that a shoe is a shoe? Just disable them and never close minimized apps on your phone, neither install ram cleaners or whatsonot. Android is gnu/ linux based and handles memory god like.
