This is regarding Nothing Phone 1 issue after 2.5.3.A update. I tried restricting background battery usage of few applications. But, even after restricting background battery usage. Applications are still running in the background.
To simulate the issue :
Step 1 : Yesterday evening, I charged my mobile to 100%.
Step 2 : Then, Opened Settings –> Battery –> Battery Usage –> Seleted “Telegram” application and changed the Battery usage to “Restricted”.
Step 3 : Then, Opened “Telegram” application and used it for sometime. And then, Closed the “Telegram” application and cleared all the minimised apps.
Step 4 : Today morning, I checked the battery usage of “Telegram” application and it’s showing that the application ran in the background for more than 7 hours.
if I select “Restricted” in battery usage for any application means it should not run in the background right?
This is not specific to one application. For now, I faced this issue in three applications “Instagram”, “Instagram lite” and “Telegram”
Please note : I already tried troubleshooting techniques which was mentioned by your support team. They asked me to reach out to Service centre. But, I guess this is not an issue in hardware. This is something with the software only.
I’ve attached the “Telegram” application battery usage snapshot.
