Olá community!
Today the idea is to be a quick update (the last one before publishing my concept). Here’s my hi:
This is the second update on the process I’m working on for the community CMF challenge. OMG, just two days left. Sorry for the delay on this, but I’ll try to compensate.
Last time I said that I had issues trying to use the GBL file, and because of that I had to 3D model myself. I used Rhino 3D to deliver this task and the process was quite fun. I had to use the GBL Windows “visualizer” to use it as a reference as well as the 2d outline images that nothing’s let us use and also a high-resolution photo of the phone.
The visualizer:
Guys, the details were everywhere to make it. It was quite difficult and time-consuming, but the rusult was great. I hope you like it as well.
The final 3D it isn’t perfect. There are few parts that are missing or not correct 1:1 of the original one. But the idea is not to change a single 3d drawing of it.
Here is a 3D that I did that may help:
After the 3D I had to come back to the research and found some interesting ideas. Also, I did a quick research on other community concepts prior to this challenge to help me understand what was the community language.
I can’t show yeat the final sketch idea, but I need to say that I used a lot of the brand DNA like the minimalism but yet with necessary details, the transparency of the original parts, and also the idea to play with a touch of color.
And to finish this update. I shared it with my close friends to get some feedback. This movement helped me a lot because working alone is not a simple task. The design process is all about sharing ideas getting feedback and improving from the last one. I need to say, that the submissions that I’ve seen, are really great, and that made me feel a little anxious about the concept that I was creating.
Oh and one last thing: I present to you the Phrynomedusa appendiculata. This Brazilian little guy was consider to be “extinct” since 1970, but in 2022 researchers from USP found one living like nothing was happening. This little one will one of my inspirations. I hope you like him as much as I did. 😅
The challenge to me is not finished yet nor my design, but I need to say that it’s been very fun to work on it. I hadn’t had this kind of moment to design something out of my daily job for a while. It’s great to be back.
Obrigado community. Till the next one.
