Nothing Phone(2a) - Netflix App Not Responding

I am getting netflix error multiple times that Netflix doesn’t respond, I have tried all troubleshoot approaches - Restart device, Internet Connectivity and Reinstall Netflix App. Please fix this issue as soon as possible [Nothing Team]

Got the similar problem: Netflix and Disney Plus not working

Programs：
1. Nothing OS 2.5.6
2. NordVPN (last update 2024/06/15), no problem
3. Netflix (last update 2024/06/14), video not loading. Error code 5.10.
4. Disney Plus (last update 2024/05/30), can use preview, but video not loading

I am also experiencing the same. I tried running Netflix on an older phone (grand dad model] and it was working fine. However, the app was crashing on NP2a for unknown reasons. I think that, the App optimization is pending at Nothing team’s end. Plus, there is no HDR support.

NOTHING TEAM to respond.

Faced same issue after 2.5.5a update but worked fine after I switched off and on

I’m stuck at the loading screen , I’ve tried restarting and clearing cache,data and everything still it’s stuck at loading screen but my 5 year old phone runs with no problem.

Facing the same issue on Netflix. Getting an Error 5.8. Right after that the App hangs. Tried restarting phone, reinstalling the App and also cleared Cache. Results are the same. Currently running 2.5.5.b.

LeadGenerating Nothing Phone 2a Blue variant 12GB Ram/ 256GB Storage. Received the phone just yesterday.

Still trying out various troubleshooting methods online to see if anything works.

I think I got a solution now. So I went to-

Settings> Apps> Netflix> App battery usage> changed it from Optimised to Unrestricted. Then restarted the device. This worked for me.

Facing same issue for disney hotstar too. Need to restart the device. Nothing team needs to fix this in next update.

i have white 8/256 varient but my software version is 2.5.5.a . I hope I didn’t make any mistake by purchasing it quickly m facing lots of bugs and problems

I planned to buy the 12/ 256GB variant cause I plan to keep the phone for a long time.

But check out the Community Board Observer Update Q1 2024 page and YouTube video here on Nothing Community. Rohit mentions alot of answers ppl have been looking for. And I’m sure you will also get the update if not better.

Hi, The Netflix app is working fine now, without any errors. Please uninstall and then reinstall the app (that appears to be the only solution now).

NotP2a Yesterday only I again faced netflix not responding error. Reinstalling o restarting the app again and again should not be the solution. It needs to be addressed in the next update.

@NotP2a This is not the working fix as I was watching shows normally a few days ago and today everything just went haywire. Nothing played and it kept giving me the .10 or .8 errors and then quite a few times the app just crashes or takes obscenely long to open which was not seen the day before. I have tried restarting my 2a and reinstalling the app. I have tried all the other methods stated above or in the Netflix forum. For context i have the 2a white with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.

It was fine for a few days and then it struck again. I think that, this is common error happening across many Nothing Phone 2a devices. It occurred again yesterday night and it showed an error code “Netflix Error 5.8”. Nothing team needs to fix this.
