I guess you guys can use the “Persistent notification” for this and set Play Store as the app there. Since people usually download / update multiple apps simultaneously, getting an indicator feature (like it exists for the time/countdown) seems to be pointless as it might just be ruined coz of the multiple apps being downloaded…
