Phone (2a) - Playback Error - Netflix & Hostar

Unable to stream on apps like Netflix and Hotstar due to playback error every time I open it. Tried clearing the cache, logging out, everything. The issue still pertains. It is very stupid issue to not be able to stream media on your phone.

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing again too? I have no such problems on my 2a, Netflix works fine, which would indicate that it it isn’t an OS version.

Tried that. Same issue pertains. It is an issue that I am facing since the last update (2.5.5 a) Before that Netflix and Hotstar worked fine. The height is, streaming didn’t work at all, my downloaded videos don’t play either. It’s so annoying.

If we tried to uninstall and reinstall the apps, the same error happens again. Sometime it didn’t even respond to me and get back to the application home screen when I touch on the play option.

amansolankie Yes, I can imagine, shouldn’t be this way at all. Is there a specific error message that comes up, or does it just say “playback error”?

What version of the app do you have installed?
