Nothing OS is Painful.

vovan-v I know its great cause my friend owns it! I am happy with my Phone (2) and my opinion was based on the facts people complain about so it would be neutral, but if you ask me. NOS is the best stock ROM i’ve ever used!
@RavishKumar exactly, The UI got decent after 2.5.0 but it arrived with a cost! Last A13 update was Phone (2)'s peak, but people still had problems back then!
Malix since you are a software engineer I have a question for you. I play Efootball2024. It was running perfectly well without any heating at all at highest settings. After 2.5, 2.6 updates it heats up quickly and starts dropping frames. While other games like COD Mobile run perfectly. What could be the reason? I have reset the device multiple times but still no solution.
They have to work on the os that’s really true
I bought the phone 1 because I thought it would be the cheapest nearest experience to a Pixel phone, clean software and slick UI performance, that was far from being true, with android 12, the experience was ok, not the smoothest experience, or something snappy, as many review videos claimed. The real issue came with the update, android 13, the latest stable release was so much better, smoother and greater experience, but, with the android 14 update, the experience is really crap. Laggy and choppy animations, really ruin the experience significantly. I do not personally care about gaming, didn’t purchase this phone for that, I just don’t want to see any stutter animation in not really complex tasks, like going from social media apps like tiktok or Instagram to the home. I don’t think that’s something impossible, due to the fact that custom roms achieve that, like pixelOS or lineageOS for example, being those ones that I used myself for a while. A bit of deception is what really express nothing OS for me.
All Nothing products have some kind of problems, I guess it’s due to them having so much on the table they couldn’t eat kind of situation. Nothing is quite young and ambitious but it has a small team, resources and budget compared to their competitors.
For now anyone who’s gonna buy their products has to lower thier expectations on their services.
But I do have a bit of confidence in them that they’ll eventually improve and scale up. Then they’ll definitely be able to provide robust products.

Still can’t create passkeys via bitwarden, but I can use already stored passkeys in bitwarden. Had to turn on the accessibility button for it to work.
Sharath_0-8 That’s cool and all, but instead of creating pointless apps like gallery they should really get functionality up and running first, then add those things in. I mean I get it, a lot of people wanted things like a gallery app or whatever else in, but working passkey support is arguably more important as it makes your accounts more secure and easier to access.

Though I’m using CMF Phone 1, regretting that I bought it. Clean os/No ads but with so many disappointing issues.
-No camera optimization, intended forced brightness issue
-No OS optimization for games
-WiFi performance below average
-Charging issues every update
-Facebook videos still buggy in landscape mode, status bar switches to gray and white color
-Messenger notification sound goes default even set with device sound
- YouTube scrolling and in comments scrolling laggy
-Keyboard landscape fullscreen not implemented
-Passkeys hit or miss
-Dark mode notifications in lockscreen even in Light Mode
-Homescreen dark spots in status bar
-No real AOD
If anyone is reading this and wondering, the phone 2a fingerprint reader is excellent. I’ve had it a month, and I’m not joking, I’ve never had it struggle to read my fingerprint, not even once.
