From the beginning I love Nothing’s dotted typeface, its uniqueness and elegance really got me, so I tried to search for it and found nothing (tired of these jokes yet?), not a single file or a link. After realising the absence of an official download option, with the help of a friend we looked through the source code of nothing.tech and managed to find a link to the font.
Apparently it is called ‘ndot57’ or ‘Ndot 57’.

It’s a bit different from the font used on the logo as you can see in the following picture, probably to make it look simpler and easier to print on the actual products, but they are using ndot57 everywhere else on the website.
Edit: After going through the source code in more depth, we have found that the reason for this difference is that the logo and ear (1) is written in a slightly altered typeface called ‘ndot55’. Here is the link to it. Note that the file format of ndot55 is .otf, while the format of ndot57 is .ttf.

I’m no legal expert so I am not sure if we can use this typeface freely, or even if Nothing would like it if we were to do so, but I would say that for personal-use, we should be fine. As always, mentioning them as the creator/designer in a footnote or something is the right thing to do, so don’t forget that.
We’ve never really discussed this typeface by the way, or I’ve missed out on it, I don’t know. Either way, what do you think about it? Do you like it? Don’t you feel like it’s a bit cluttered? I personally don’t, but when I showed off Nothing to a friend, she said that the font is a bit hard to read.
I think it is completely readable. It has a special industrial look for sure, but at least it is recognisable. But we are all different.
Anyways, if there is a problem with using or even sharing the typeface, some comment from the Staff Team would be appreciated.
Cheers!
