Low Audio Volume - Difficult to Hear Callers (Regular & Speaker Modes)

This post is to garner other Phone(2a) users experience with phone incoming audio volume on both Regular Calls and Speaker Mode after being a NP2a user for 1.5 months.

Regular Normal Calls.
Incoming volume is comfortable ONLY when ear is placed directly pressing down with considerable force (more than other phones), on NP2a Upper Top Left corner. Sound clarity and voice volume is thin, inaudible when ear placement is either on Top Center or Top Right.
a) Can Nothing representatives confirm the speaker placement in Phone(2a) hardware?
b) What about other fellow users?

Incoming Volume on Speaker Mode
Speaker volume on normal calls and other voice apps - is terrible. Incoming voices are Low, Soft and Thin Distant after many tries and testing with a range of callers. It’s non-usable and a letdown during Group Calls, certain situations or even emergencies. Are other users experiencing this below average volume + clarity too w Phone2(a) speaker, pls share. Tyvm.

The speaker volume output is low, when on call. I found it difficult to hear some times.

Took me last week to realise why normal phone calls sometimes become loud and clear, yet distant and inaudible randomly until a fortuitously random ear shift, identified the cause. - -

Bcos the speaker is only placed inside hardware Phone 2a top left corner. =/. #BadDesign

Alas, i would describe the speaker mode volume as “an unusable basic phone call function”. Callers end up frustrated and distracted rather than a productive conversation exchange of ideas and points. #BrokenDesign

The low incoming volume on Nothing Phone 2a is Def. THE worse deal breaker . Negates entirely the most frequent, and important purpose of a mobile phone.

MORE so than my one and only gripe so far - camera snap slow processing time. Photo quality isn’t great (soft, lack details) but was/am ready to accept at this price point.

I can see there are already many posts regarding this topic, however instead of just adding my issue to the bottom of one already raised……I’m starting another one in the hope some immediate action might be undertaken…. Although I doubt it.

I have only heard excellent reviews about these Nothing phones. Today I finally bought one, and so far I’m seriously disappointed. This primarily due to the output of the speaker. I use my phone aa lot for work and notifications extremely important for me to acknowledge …. however at this point I can barely hear them! Spent most of the try to find a solution.

Simply put this is rubbish! For me the phone is unusable. I am lucky that my previous phone is still usable, so I will put this drawer until this issue is resolved or I will have to try to return it. Or on sell it.
