Hi everybody. =)
Just joined the Nothing Community by buying my first Nothing Phone 2(a).
I just love it.
But one thing I have noticed is this:
When you need full brightness (like a sunny day or so), even if you´re inside, you get grey blacks.
For instance. You swipe up and down to access control center, the blacks are NOT black, they are grey.
Coming from an iPhone, this is a major letdown. On my old iPhone 13 I could set full brightness but the black background would still be.. pitch black. So is my unit faulty or are the Nothing Phone screens just not that good? Seems kind of odd since like in like every review, everybody keeps talking about the great screens on these Nothing Phones.
Don´t get me wrong. I really really like the simplicity, clean UI and the smoothness in the Nothing OS. And this is the first time jumping on the Android-train, that I am actually not missing my iPhone. But this screen thing is like I said, a total let-down for me.
I have owned a few other Android phones but never really took notice of how the blacks were in full brightness. But I guess they were all ok since I didn’t notice anything about them in that regard.
So. Does anyone else have this grey-problem or is it just my phone that is faulty?
