Hello everyone! I wanted my layout to show how Nothing has influenced my life.
I discovered Nothing by a youtube channel named “Nate Gentile” when Nothing launched ear (1), from that day, I’ve been a big fan of the brand always watching videos about it, even my girlfriend is tired of hearing me talk about Nothing every time I discover something interesting.
I got the ear (2) a year ago, and since then, I was just amazed by everything around it, not only the sound but the aesthetics, i felt like i discover something that really represents my taste and my personality.
I’m a student of industrial engineering, to afford my studies I’ve started a small buisness making clay artifacts and even that has been influenced by Nothing, my favorite things to make are the black and white and the ones that disrupts the common.
From left to right, we can see my Nothing and CMF products, the glyphs on phone (2a) happened to be all lighted but it was playing Rocket man by Elton John throug the music visualization, a song that i play every monday on the bus (really, every and only on mondays so i don’t get burned out) because it just reminds my self that even if thing are hard now, losing time with friends and family, I do all I do to be something better in the future.
Next to that we can see a logitech headset that i modified to get a more industrial look, some of the artifacts i make (like the flower pot and the jewelry keeper), a Braun hairdryer that i LOVE, I’ve had this hairdryer from years and even thoug it is very simple, that is the same reason i refuse to change it, also, it belonged to my mother which also was a big fan of industrial design.
We can also see my mouse which i painted the thumb buttons to be red so it can match my ear (2) with the red details, my guitar pick and a school carpet with a mirror holder i also made (my proudest artifact hehe).
This is all! I hope i was able to express how it has influenced my life, I’m even studying industrial engineering so i can also make thigs that I’m proud to use myself =D.
Heres my desk on a normal day, I really like the mix of tech and nature.
