I am a middle class worker but keen of phones.I have heard a lot of this nothing phone on media but not experienced.now i had collected money and want to buy NP2.need kind and honest suggestion.I need a soomth UI,premium hand look and non sluggish performance.

arpan2308 changed the title to Is it worth buying Phone (2) in mid 2024? .

For gaming I won’t recommend as it just support 60fps in BGMI and it’s worse than 15k phone. Else it is good phone for daily use but not optimised well. You will find lot of features on paper but won’t experience them in day to day used as mostly they are not supported by apps 😂

Wait for Nothing Phone 3, even though it’s good but you may get latest specs for roughly the same money I bought Phone(2) for

Its a great phone to have…I got this phone from flipkart @38000 INR (455$) for the 512 GB varient and I feel it’s a great phone…day to day task are way smoother plus you will get amazing stock android experience and nothing OS minimal skin.

If you do gaming its above average…the camera quality is decent hope they will fix these issues with the software update.

You have to buy charger seperately for 2000 or you can use any 45 watt charger…as it supports many charging types.

Overall good phone to have…there’s only 1 addition in the np3 the action button…but it will be around 45000 during launch…and to be honest SD 8+gen1 (In NP2) is great processor to take all your day to day work.

See flipkart for the offers and then grab the deal.

As far as I am concerned this is the smoothest android phone I have experienced.

cringe option forget about it waste of your money. Better go with other brands

No, go to other brands like OnePlus or Samsung or iqoo because software support is not good and software management is worst.25k phone 2a have may 24 security patch but phone 2 have April security patch at last camera is worst no consistency if you are taking photos against Sun light that time photos looks like your taken photo 0.3 megapixel. So my suggestion go to other brands. Other wise wait for phone 3 may be camera is improved.

Don’t. There are pros and cons depending upon how you use it. For me,

    PROS

    Smooth UI

    No major bug

    Good battery life

    Decent display

    No bloatware

    8 Gen 2 processor

    CONS

Occasional earpiece volume issue during calls

Poor camera performance. Both front ans back.

Poor video playback quality (you will notice whenever there is a low light scene, the shadow areas get totally black)

On paper HDR supported but practically Netflix doesn’t support it, no increase in brightness during HDR video playback even in YouTube

Haptics are weak. You will hardly notice an incoming call if the phone is in vibrate mode.

Phone is too big. Bad choice of aspect ratio. Not comfortable to hold and can’t use with one hand.

Dirac audio enhancement is also useless. It only increases bass and everything sounds muddy.

    Poor re-sell value.

Poor video call quality on WhatsApp and other such apps, even with fastest internet.

LEDs are fun for once or twice, after that you realise it’s not very useful.

Limited customisation options and some of the small but useful features are still missing despite users asking for it since the launch of phone 1. For example, you cannot hide the navigation bar at the bottom, cannot manage status bar icons on top like volte and vonr icons, etc.

Honestly dot matrix fonts are just bad. Still they won’t leave you a choice.

    IP54 rating.

If you buy phone2,If you buy phone2, I will be happy that there is another sad person in the world

No, there are lot of issues found in Phone 2 like network, call history, dialer tone, ring tone. Don’t buy it

Hi, I am a year’s long Samsung user and had the Galaxy Fold 4 prior buying the Nothing Phone (2). The NP2 caught my eye in the sheer boring sea of slab style devices due to the design of both hard- and software. I sort of fell in love with that phone from the moment I unboxed it and set it up the first time.

I primarily sold it about six months later, because I needed money at that time and I sort of missed the flexible functionality of my still owned Galaxy Fold 4. Fast forward to today and I am missing the NP2 and actually thinking about buying it again. While the device for sure ain’t flawless and you get more capable phones out there, the Nothing has a unique appeal which in my opinion is hardly matched by other devices out there.

Only cool thing about this phone is glyphs. Aside from that it’s not worth it imo. My pixel 4 has better camera quality then this brick.
