Hello, Nothing Community!

Light has always been a guiding force in my life, illuminating the path through my passions for marketing and photography. It’s the light that brings out the nuances in my photos and highlights the stories I aim to tell. This connection to light is why the “Follow the Light” campaign for the Nothing Phone 2A CE resonates deeply with me.

I am Keerthan and I am thrilled to share my journey with you all as I participated in the marketing campaign project for the Nothing Phone 2A Community Edition. As a passionate marketer and avid photographer, this experience has been incredibly fulfilling and inspiring.

From the outset, I was drawn to the unique opportunity to contribute to a project that merges cutting-edge technology with the power of community collaboration. Marketing has always been more than a profession to me; it’s a way to tell stories that resonate, connect, and inspire. Photography, on the other hand, allows me to capture moments and perspectives that words alone can’t express.

This campaign has been a perfect blend of my two passions. It has allowed me to explore innovative ways to showcase the Nothing Phone 2A CE, developed by and for the community.

This campaign is not just a project to me; it’s a testament to what we can achieve together when we combine our skills, creativity, and shared vision. Hey all!

My name is Abhay, and I am a high school student with a hobby in digital design. I wanted to share the thinking behind my submission on the official community discussion page!

So I wanted to combine the original phone (2a) phrase, “Fresh Eyes” with something surrounding the ideas of vision and glow/illumination. That’s why I settled on the tag, #EyeSpyNothingGlowing, a play on the words “I Spy Something Glowing”, reminiscent of childhood memories, growth, and change. To characterize this idea, my concept was centered around the chameleon (what animal better emphasizes large, dynamic eyes and color-changing abilities?) and its interaction with the new community edition phone’s glow. Nothing has commonly featured animals in its campaigns before and I thought that a chameleon would be an especially good fit now. I’d be honored to assist with the marketing portion of this campaign. My ideas are all still prototypes and need to be fleshed out with further suggestions from both the Nothing team and community to ultimately have an amazing launch! I appreciate every vote!

Hey everyone,

I know the winner will be announced soon, but I wanted to share one of the ideas that could be interesting for future ooh campaigns. I think it could really stir up some buzz, make people talk about it, if something like this could be incorporated/ published 2-3 days before the actual release - a blank, neon green billboard with just the glowing Nothing logo. To tie it back to the Community Edition, maybe we could include a date of release, though I think a blank neon green screen will definitely make people and the media curious enough to see what it’s about.

Also on another note,

I’ve been thinking and reworking on my submission and came up with an updated visualization for the glowing makeup idea with images that resonate better from my entry.

Though the focus was more on exploration and personal growth, I’d love to hear your feedback thoughts, if any 🙂
