📱 Phone (2) - Nothing OS 2.5.6 Changelog
- (Edited)
Does anyone facing issues with charging the phone 2 with official nothing charger?? When I tried charging other brand phones with nothing charger working fine but with phone 2 it is disconnecting continuously
2.5.6 Updates 2.5.6 update is not installing on my phone 2. When trying to updating it shows downloading & installing then immediately it shows installation failed.
My network was full. The charge was 100. I reset the phone and tried again. But the result is the same.
After a while only the notification comes “couldn’t install system update”.
I am facing touch random touch issue after this update
MD_HasibulIslam - have you tried taking out your SIM card, restarting the device and attempting the update again?

BurpSuite Nice, it solved your issues.
Usually, I reset my phone if the update is major (e.g. 2.7 or 3.0) or has a security patch. If minor update (e.g. 2.7.1, 2.7.2), just let it dirty. I mean not do anything lah.
But, if I feel bored, even tho a minor update, I will reset it. IDK, maybe habit or something wrong with my head. hahaha
When I use OnePlus, I play lots of custom ROM, but on this phone, feel too lazy to unlock the bootloader and play. Maybe I’m old and use stock, which is enough for me.
DexTer_e03TBYSe6f for video only need to use 3rd party apps. Now blackmagic already release for android, but not compatible with Nothing Phones but you can used sideload

AmirHussaini Let’s me tell you brother how version naming convention works :
<2.5.6>(here 2 means major version , 5 is minor version and 6 is Patches)
If you ever got time read something about software engineering from geekforgeeks
so if during patches this problem exists it means there are various redundant code while adding new features and not being tested properly that’s why the phone is miss behaving.
I’m myself is an engineer and the problem which exists here is that they don’t do testing properly , as a coder myself if they are adding new features in patches I don’t know what kind of testing is going on in the background.
Personally I’m not a stan of any brand and in past I used phones from various brands and I have a observation they all do good testing especially phone from top tier brand from bbk and secondly they push major updates in major version with with usefull features and patching it throughout the iteration or in software engineering commonly known as iterative development or evolutionary development which ever you like to say.

Just got my P(2) and it’s on OS 2.0. Thinking about upgrading to 2.5.6, but worried about Screen On Time (SOT) . Heard 2.5.6 might have worse SOT compared to others. Should I upgrade to 2.5.6 or stay on 2.0?
How’s the SOT for those on the latest updates? Thanks for your insights!
When we get in phone 2
- Camera widget
- Vibration intensity changer
mutasimahmed New Updates are always worth the download –> Security patches and new functions. In my case it has never affected my phones performance in a negative way. Go for it :- )

Hi everyone! I just got the new phone 2 running Nothing OS 2.5.6 and I’m concerned about the battery life and SOT. How is the battery performance on this version? I’m currently on Nothing OS 2.0.5. Should I upgrade to 2.5.6, or is it better to stick with 2.0.5 for now?
Additionally, if anyone has insights on camera/QOL improvements, heating issues, or any other relevant performance metrics in the latest update, that would be super helpful. Your feedback is greatly appreciated as I’m trying to optimize my new device experience. Thanks in advance for your help!

BurpSuite yes correct bro. Nothing wrong with it.
It’s just my way of playing the update. Hahahaha
If I am bored, I will reset my phone without waiting for major or minor updates.
For me, is best to reset when major updates. It’s not like every update, needs to reset. Unless there is something wrong with the update la.
Btw thanks for the explanation. It is good for others to understand about it.
Other than that, nothing wrong with this update on my phone, except the same issue I faced on the previous version, Bluetooth loud volume warning popped up like 1st time connected the device. Aiyaa
mutasimahmed I’m not an expert, just random fellas playing software updates.
My nonsense opinion, I prefer you update the software because it fixes some bugs, a bit of improvement on something, new features and d security patch.
Not wrong if you don’t update, you are still alive.
Yes, some updates are okay, and some are not ok. Sometimes, it takes time to learn or do something to adapt your usage etc., and then your battery is back to usual.
This is not a recommended solution, if your phone having some issues, check out in forum or the internet to see whether anyone having the same problem or not. If not get the answer, resetting the phone is your last resort.
