Yes you need the debug activate all the time for v1.3.7, be sure to activate it and then restart the app. Next update this won’t be needed.

Yes it’s correct, that represents a single person since you can add multiple people to a single glyph now (and in that case an icon representing a group of people is shown).

Essential notifications are broken for me too .

Charging glyph works flawlessly but have to re enable debug as you said.

So i m waiting for next update.

Great work @Fr4nKB .

True potential of glyph interface must be available for users.

Are both of you using (2a)? There’s a conflict between Extended Essential and battery indicator, I’ll be looking into it

v1.4 now available - Lots of stuff

      Changes:
      • ⚡Added Phone(2a) Glyphifier’s native mode

      • 📱Extended Essential now supports multiple contacts and apps mapping

      • 🎛Added Glyphifier and Extended Essential dimmer

      • ✅Extended Essential and Phone(2a)'s battery indicator are out of beta (no more glyph debug needed)!

      • 🆕UI rework and new app icon

      • 🇯🇵Added japanese translation (Thanks @Re*Index.)

      Fixes:
      • Fixed a problem with AppUpdater incorrectly showing update notifications

      • Fixed incorrect position of buttons for Extended Essential

      • Fixed toolbar not showing in some cases (Thanks @puhbu)

      • Fixed (2a)'s battery indicator service not starting in some cases (Thanks @puhbu)

      • (2a) battery indicator and Extended Essential can now work at the same time

ATTENTION: the new version may conflict with glyph debug mode, if you are coming from a previous update be sure to disable glpyh debug, install the update and restart the phone. If that doesn’t work, uninstall app, reboot and reinstall.

HimanshuYadav_ZaTFtH1Y2n install the latest version 1.4, plug your charger and flip your phone

@Fr4nKB i have a few suggestions for notification mode:

If you have chosen the zone for notifications there should be a back button (i wondered how to go back, but then tried the back gesture)

Maybe add a third option “blink” without fading and a slider/menu to choose the speed?

Last one: there should be a hint how to delete an app/contact from the list (long press to remove)

And maybe i can help with german translation?

Hey I one feature request , i Have Google Pay App and I want Glyph Light after I done payment with Gpay (UPI) it will be very awesome if you added that. I know it’s some random request but I am trying many way but not find way to setup glyph for it that why I asked

          I tried app and it’s great 👍👍🙂

Fr4nKB after using and testing this build on my 2a i can confirm that battery indicator working flawlessly , app mapping is sweet and that too working flawlessly.

Only thing is broken for me is contact mapping.

            Nice job bruh ! 👍

muhkuhaushonolulu Yeah, it can be done but it would envolve continuosly executing code on the background and Android is not very keen on doing that

muhkuhaushonolulu Great suggestions! I’ll see if I can integrate some of them. If you are up for the translation I can DM you

Harshvardhan I don’t know if I can do this honestly, maybe I’ll look into it

Abhiie Glad you like, unfortunately for contacts the notification needs to display the exact name you have in the contacts (e.g. I have a contact on Telegram whose name is different from the name I used to save the contact)

                Still no joy for me!

Installed the new update, essential glyphs didn’t work, so uninstalled, rebooted as described, disabled the debug function, but I am back to no glyph notifications working at all. The glyph torch does work through.

What am I still doing wrong?

Fr4nKB i was talking about missed call notification

Was working on previous update but in this update its broken for me ,

Tried multiple contacts but not working.

MarkFrancis I’m sorry for that, you seem to have a rough experience with this.

Are you on the last NOS update? Did you allow the app to read your notifications when entering the notification tab?
The feature only works when the phone is locked so keep in mind that. Have you tried mapping an app instead of a contact and see if that works?

I have tried all of the above.

It would be really great if I could get this app to work as you have, it would enhance my phone in ways that Nothing have failed to do.

                    MarkFrancis

Did you try other community apps that interact with Glyph interface? Are those working for you?

I’m sorry but I’m kind of out of idea, the app works for a lot of users and without physical access to your device is hard to tell what is wrong here
