📱 Phone (2) - Nothing OS 2.6 Changelog

Anyone know this update fixes ‘lag’ or whatever when it comes to connecting a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller via Bluetooth ?
Because before whenever I play games on an app like Retroarch there’s always like some sorta delay when pressing buttons. Like instead of pressing left once to move a character .. it’d like move as if I pressed it twice or three times … if that makes any sense. I haven’t received the 2.6 update from my end yet … I hope it got fixed. If not then I guess I’d have to wait a bit longer.

The controller works perfectly fine on a Samsung Z Flip 4 and S22 Ultra as well as the Nintendo Switch itself. So it can’t possible be the controller …

Nickman I play games, and I’m not sure about other gamers. I pretty much can block notifications or decide what can notify me and what not, all through the Google’s built in “do not disturb” which Nothing already give options to auto ON during game. So you’re right, what we need here is.. camera improvement!! The zoom is so bad for this spec, like cheap phone.

VishnuManjeri exactly! Whenever I restart my phone i need to make sure a sin ejector tool is with me, so frustrating!

Why do flagship phones not have all the features available in budget phones?

Finally here. Took awhile.

I just installed the update.

Well the thing is there was a bug that i had seen some people encounter including myself which in it the advanced features in the game mode was locked and it said in order to work it needs the Google play services to be up to date and the thing was that it was actually up to date but it just didn’t work.

Now in this new update instead of fixing the existing bug they go on their way to add new features for gaming that no one asked for.

Now i had messaged them about this bug and they said it is not much you are missing on and it s just the google game dashboard well if that s not an important thing then why did you add new features to the gaming section why

Now the bug itself is not important to me or anything but it s rather them treating other things instead of the actual things we want them to.

The brand itself is amazing and i am positive with my choice of purchasing the phone 2 i hope you to keep improving the positive aspects and eliminating the negative ones in your work.

I would really like to have system-wide implementation of this typeface (product sans aka google fonts). I wish they provided an option.

After updating to 2.6 i am experiencing lags and hiccups every few seconds. I am having a hard time typing due to the lags because the keyboard will think that I am holding the tap whenever it lags. When playing mobile legends I can hear a sound every time the phone lags that is similar to the sound of a pc when it is about to hang. I can also feel that the phone is getting hot and is having difficulty in charging. Can I revert back to previous version?

ToToAntonio I would say Xiaomi, Oneplus, .., etc would be some reasonable comparisons, technically even they would be an unfair comparison to some extent
I’m just going by numbers, Nothing may have a veteran team, but they still lack resources at this point to achieve anything of scale when compared to any well established brands you can think of
And comparing with apple would be like pushing it beyond comprehensible limits
Also, speaking of apple, personally I believe their updates are mostly smoke and mirrors. Those IOS/IpadOS updates are the perfect example of “Showing progress instead of making progress”. I’m stating this based on my experience with my Ipad, I still regret not going with a samsung tab to this day!

This is anyway just my take on this topic as a consumer and a software engineer. I could be wrong and others would probably have a completely different say in the matter.

Please do some improvement in camera… Zoomed photos are useless…. Please give so fps stability during games… Full-screen caller id will be a nice update… Moreover please do something about bluetooth connectivity… I am having the worst experience with bluetooth connectivity and it’s very annoying for a 40k+phone
