Is it possible to add a document mode to the camera, such as, for example, in Xiaomi phones, which helps a lot with high-quality shooting of documents? Thank you!

There is already one implemented; if you aim at a document, an icon appears in the bottom left and if you click it, the camera crops around the document you want to capture. If you have feedback for this feature, be sure to report it via: Settings > System > Feedback

Vasja. I’ve just checked on NP1 and NP2 and it is there in both, so I would be very surprised if it is not also there in NP2a. If you can’t activate document mode then I would suggest reporting it via Settings > System > Feedback.

Nav these are screenshots from NP2, with the icon in the bottom right, so the feature is present or is meant to be present. I don’t have an option to turn it on/off, the icon just pops up whenever I aim at a document of some description.
If you can’t activate it, reporting it via Settings > System > Feedback is the best way to get the problem resolved.
Chris On my np2a there is no such icon in the lower corner, I wrote a review of the company.

I would love to see a feature where you just aim the camera at some id or legal document and it autoscans and crops!

As mentioned above, the option is there, at least I see it on my NP2 running NOS 2.6.
It does not “auto-scan” if that’s what you’re after, and it does not correct margins, although it crops the document, but it’s there.
note: I noticed that you need to have a clear contrast between the document and the table (Ex: a white document on a white tabletop may not be detected causing the feature to not activate)
I’m sorely missing this feature. Switched from Redmi Note 10 pro to Nothing phone 2a. Nothing please make this a feature with the camera.
On NP2 its works only in 12mp photo option, so need to choose this option first

Go to the 3 dot menu on the right top corner and turn on the motion photo mode,
Then it starts to detect the docs….
Also only on 12MP mode…
