panugantiraju50 Nothing Launcher Update V 2.6.8 No Change Same Problem Big Icons The Problem Is Still There Not Yet Solved But Mentioned As Solved In Update What A Kind Of Evaluation I Don’t Know Why Don’t You Give All Features As Other Launchers
Dudu Joseph I am of the opinion that Nothing should revert their decision to make widgets smaller with the NothingOS 2.6 update. It feels weird to see so much padding and to see the widgets’ text size to be so small. I feel that the sizing was just perfect as it was. Especially for those small circular widgets for settings, which right now looks like another app icon. Is there a way to revert the sizing back to how it was before NlthingOS2.6 ? If not is there a way to petition Nothing to give us the option to choose between the two ?
BalajiK_e7SNlAvc0P I’ve noticed some significant changes in the quick setting widget design in the new Nothing Launcher update (ver 2.6.8), which are affecting the overall user experience. Here are the main issues I’m encountering: Widget and Icon Size Discrepancy: In the new version (ver 2.6.8), the quick setting widget icons are noticeably smaller compared to the app icons. This size reduction creates a disoriented look and feels less cohesive. The text inside the quick setting widgets is also smaller, making it difficult to read. The old version (ver 2.6.6) maintained uniform icon sizes for both quick settings and apps, which provided a more consistent and visually appealing interface. Excessive Spacing Between Widgets: The new update introduces a lot of space between the quick setting widgets, making the layout appear more fragmented and less efficient. The old version had a more compact arrangement, which contributed to a cleaner and more aligned appearance. To restore a harmonious look, the quick setting widget icons and text should be resized to match the app icons, and the spacing between widgets should be reduced. Addressing these points will enhance the user experience and maintain the sleek and modern design that Nothing Launcher is known for.
AtulAnand_FXL34TGfVg Nothing launcher has got worsen after last few updates. No features added just messed up the grids and widgets and search bar sizes. When turn on the label it mess up the icon and widgets size and makes unsymmetrical. Also on few icons no circle masks is applied which makes icons on drawer and homescreen unsymmetrical. Raised this app grid icon mask issue 100 times, just no one cares. Great Nothing, Developers, Moderators and Users. Good keep it up.
bhanuchandra_95 In one of the beta update for launcher they made gap between the widgets shorter and it looked clean and filled the whole home screen i kinda liked that..but they removed it in the next update missing that
faxcon There are a lot of wasted areas on layout. I you set 5x grid, no app labels and search widget off than a sizeable chunk of area is not used at the bottom of the screen.
RichardYi Nothing devs are all about listening to their customer/user base. Wondering why this issue hasn’t been resolved yet 🙁 After auto updating to 2.6+ the grids got weird so I had to revert back to 2.5.18 and turn off auto updates to keep the prior version which still creates significant gaps above and below the dock where I assume everyone’s main apps are placed. However, everything above the dock seems to have the right spacing at least for me. It would be nice if there was an option in settings where we can customize the dock as well as more grid sizes. Ability to resize widgets more freely would also be nice
faxcon RichardYi I think that you pointed out significant problem or feature. Maybe the most important problem of launcher is the unnecessary gaps above and below of the dock. Also for recent app menu please add “clear all” button at the left hand side of the screenshot one.
RichardYi RichardYi If the dock size is not adjustable/customizable the gaps should at least fill themselves by auto resizing my icons and widgets proportionately without changing my layout or moving anything. I do agree that the space above and below should be bigger than the space between icons and widgets but this is too significant, a waste of space, and aesthetically unappealing..
Til (21) A few weeks ago there was an update that was very nice: It has not changed the amount of apps and the amount of widgets showing on the home screen no matter if you show the app lable or not. In the actual update there is one row missing, when you add app lable. Unfortunately I cannot remember in which version it worked perfectly. Does anyone feel the same?
