📱 Phone (2a) - Nothing OS 2.5.6 Changelog

I did this present OS 2.5.6 update yesterday, I have started experiencing Heating issue, which was not at first. I was so shocked after this issue. i could feel more heat on display which is very bad.

Please solve battery drain issue….I have just used phone for 5 days.

For first 2 days battery was working awesome however when I did update 2.5.6 battery has started draining.

Just got it delivered on 29/5/24

After the latest update on my phone 2a, phone is feeling sluggish, fingerprint is slow to recognise, needing a hard press. I can feel stutter in the overall ui

Battery stats are not showing accurate. Please fix this issue asap .and fix battery drain

I am experiencing a significant delay in real-time audio feedback and headphone monitoring on my Nothing mobile device. This issue is particularly problematic when using apps for singing and music production, as the latency disrupts the audio experience. There is a noticeable delay when using headphone monitoring during real-time audio feedback.

1. This delay occurs with multiple apps, Starmaker & Smule Apps

   • I have ensured my device’s software is up to date.

   • I have tried using wired headphones instead.

   • I have closed all background apps to free up system resources.

     
     

     Despite these efforts, the issue persists. I would appreciate any assistance or updates that could resolve this latency issue.

Great update, but when I hid the navigation bar, all elements went down if the app was in full screen.

And due to the roundness of the phone’s physical corner edges, some elements will be cut off. This can be easily seen in WhatsApp, where the audio message icon on the bottom right corner will be cut off.

If I show the navigation bar, the elements/icons/buttons and their location look fine, but more worried about the screen burn at the bar.

I’m suggesting if we choose to hide the navigation bar, there’s also an option to have a display cutout at the bottom part of the screen.

Automatic flash: where is it??

A feature request for Nothing 2a (NothingOS) can you guys give access to autorotate (after 5 seconds if I put my device in landscape) to Always On Display?
I want to use it with my desktop.

I have problems with the wifi, many times I have to turn the wifi off and on again during the day because it suddenly becomes slow. Often it doesn’t even detect the 5GHz wifi. Sometimes I have to perform a reset of the wifi settings to fix it, but sometimes it still doesn’t work.

Digi16 I have the same issue. Other than that I think we should give the devs a little time to solve the things with the next update.

the camera issue is still persist, camera take much time to capture and processing the image.

Hope so next update it will fixed.

NuxMan I dont own a nothing phone as of now but I believe the real reason behind this delay in processing is due to google photos being used to view the captured image. This issue may remain until NOS 3.0 which may have a gallery app.

Other problems related to colors and image processing needs to be fixed though.

I see. I saw someone mention something about this gallery app issue on some thread here. From everything I have read, I guess this issue only exists on phone 2a and not phone 2 or 1, if I’m not wrong.

there are tons of replies about this issue and the fast charging issue. hope it gets fixed soon.

I also had the delays under 2.5.5. Since 2.5.6 everything has been normal so far. I hope it stays like this.

The blutooth is not auto pairing at times with the paired devices. This needs fix
