I’m wondering if this watch could be used without any cloud access. I mean with such a gadget I don’t want to go near to any cloud. Not for pairing not for sharing not for backup. I would like to use it together with my phone and only with my phone. I even don’t want to create any account anywhere to connect the watch to my phone. I mean if the company ditches the service I have to register my watch before I can use it then I end up with an expensive paper weight.
The sensors deliver a lot of high profile personal health data I don’t want to end up somewhere I didn’t specifically asked for. [Yes I know, if I want that my data don’t get into the cloud I shouldn’t record it in the first place.]
After 9 days no comment no thumbs up.
It seems to me this is an issue only for me. It is totally not a deal breaker to buy something which could stop working based on a manufacturer’s decision like this.
