Merged 1 post from Nothing for one AOD.

contact_istvan maybe resetting could help, though it would take some time. Or else you may wait for the next update. Sadly, there are only these two options available to you. Rollback won’t be possible.

Can’t help much, sorry.

SunilSaini same , after updating to the 2.6 auto restart with the message crash dumb has started to appear, will they fix this with an update?i don’t think so,i feel like with every update they are just destroying phone one so that people should buy their recent phones by doing this the trust that i had with this company is slowly loosing and i don’t understand why we have to factory reset after every update

      Hi there,

This is my first message on this forum, I recently purchased the phone(1) due to a sale, and I the general performance was great, smooth animations and transitions, and very responsive experience. Until the 2.6 update came out to update the device, now for some reason the animations form multi tasking menu and home, jitter and lags for literally no reason, and that is very unpleasant. I’m okay with all the other aspects of the phone, but the performance doing regular tasks, going home, multitasking, must be ok to be almost android stock.

DavidAbu_n yes the animation lags while multi tasking or quickly opening or closing apps after 2.6 update totally agree with you

        Dear all,

After updating to Nothing OS 2.6, the proximity sensor is not working. Any solution, please?

No problem on mine. So I think you should try foxong the device yourself to make sure this was a factory defect.

        Try a full factory reset.

Make a backup first before doing so. Then restore that backup after a fresh factory reset.

Wolverine Resetting did nothing, I am waiting for the next update, maybe that will help. Thanks for your reply, have a nice day!

To make the experience a bit more fluid, I have to increase the animation speed, reducing the animation duration on the developer settings menu, to make the stuttering less noticeable, due to the increased speed. I had to do that because the stuttering in animation was more frequent that I would like to be. Just to clarify, the update was installed and the factory reset was also done once the update was installed. I hope it helps anyone, but this is quite a serious issue with the phone.

Am I the only one who feels like nothing phone 1 is Getting late updates and phone 2 as well all focus is on 2a

Merged 1 post from Nothing phone 1 updates getting delayed .

SamarthNP1 I don’t know if the previous updates came that often but the 2.6 was on July I think, I think that they focused on the newer products as the 2a and the new 2a plus. I agree with you, android 13 was an incredible experience to use, I wish I could rollback the update to android 13

DavidAbu_n the new update for nothing phone 1 is out and it only has bug fixes and some unwanted “new features”. As usual, no camera update. Way to go!

It is 2.6 with some string attached to it. You can consider it 2.6 (part 2). Only good thing about it is the September patch.

Wolverine they didn’t provide charge assistance which is the most useful feature in which we can limit the charge % to 70 80 or 90% it is available in phone 2a but not in phone 1 i dont know about phone 2 but that is most useful feature which I was hoping to get in this update but unfortunately nothing didn’t provide it in phone 1
